Help Charging your N7

I have a simple question for you guys.

Is there any difference in charging your Nexus 7 when it's turned on/off? Is there any change in battery life or anything like that?

I guess this could also apply to any other device.

I never noticed a difference but I never timed my charges. I'd say if the device is powered on it will charge slower because it will use power as it charges. I suspect the difference is minimal and probably not worth noting.

Again, I have no data to back this up.

I agree with RichSz. I remember the Droid Incredible had an issue that it would charge better if topped off while being off, but this was a bug more than anything. If the device is developed correctly, the only difference you should note is the energy it consumes (remember it can last up to 300 hrs stand by) while on will offset the energy it takes from the cord.

Also note that the charger is a 2.0A.

I notice that the tablet gets much hotter when I charge it powered down. Probably more electrical resistance. Charge times seem the same off or on if the tablet isn't being used while charging.
