Android Question

I have had cnm 9" 4.1 multi touch dual core tablet since march 2013 and it is now not working, it just won't charge, I have bought a new charger and it still doesn't charge

Three possibilities (assuming that you've checked to make sure that the outlet you plug the charger into has power).

1) The battery is either totally dead or in "safety mode" (disconnected because you let it run down too far, and the protective circuit in it is defective). Solution - a new battery.

2) The microUSB connector in the phone is broken or damaged. Loooking at it carefully, under a strong light, with a magnifying glass, might show something. Or bring it into a cellphone store that does actual repairs and see if they can see anything.

3) (Least likely) the charging circuit in the phone died.

It's also possible, but not likely, that the replacement charger is dead out of the box. Try someone else's charger.

BTW, if the battery is totally dead (but still usable), charging it for a few minutes won't do any good. Let it charge at least overnight before trying to turn the phone on. Ten minutes on most chargers won't even give you a flash of light before the battery is dead again.
