Help charging

is there a difference between charging my note 2 with a wall house charger vs a car charger I seem to notice that a car charger or my Anker portable charger will charge faster but the charge on the phone seems to me not to last as long as it does using with a wall charger

It is likely that the car charger has a higher voltage, you might want to check your house charger e.g Samsung sells 5v etc you can check this on the side of your travel adapter

Hi

All usb chargers should have 5v output. The current (amp) rating is what differs. The note 2 can use up to 2amps when charging (the charger supplied with a new note2 is rated 2 amps). If the charger is rated higher, it still only pulls 2 amps. If the charger is rated lower it charges more slowly. Most car charges are rated at less than 2 amps (but you can get them). Many older usb wall chargers are rated at 0.5 or 1 amps so its not possible to comment without knowing what you are using. It should say on them in (very) small print.

Higher than 5 V will damage the phone or trigger the safety circuit and shut it down - unless you have a phone with quick charge technology and a matching quick charger, then a higher voltage will safely happen.

Phones charged faster don't drain faster.

Faster drain is caused by something else.
