Chat on app

So I see the Galaxy s3 has the Chat on app and the s2 had this as well, I am new to this but if all works out i'll get get rid of my messaging and save myself money does this app work through just data or regular cell network? Would anybody recommend using this instead of texting? Also can I message somebody without this app or is it an app to app?

Hi, does someone notice the bug in this app? Everything works lke it shoudl, but one thing boders me. Whrn a wont to attach the picture, or capture from the app, the app stops working and restart. Every other attachnent works perfekt. Is there any solution for this problem? Thanks in advance
