Help "Check failed! Please check your network connection!" Error when trying to update.

I'm trying to check for updates to the OS on my Insignia Flex 15AT08, 8" tablet and keep getting the "Check Failed! Please check your network connection!" error. I know I'm connected to wifi so I do have a network connection. I just can't understand why I can't check for updates. My Flex 7" and Flex 10.1" checked for updates without issue but the 8" just won't. Is there something I need to do in order to allow the tablet to check for updates or what? Thanks.

Well, apparently this is the message that you get with this version of Android when there's nothing to update. I guess it's just not the Flex that gets this error message, all Android tablets with this version of Android(4.4.2 IIRC) gets this message so things are ok.
