Wow! Didn't expect that! So .. my DNA was tested for this data base research thingy..long story..blah blah
anywho..turns out:
We tested your DNA and compared it to 4 different ancient population groups.
71% European (no surprise there)
11% sub saharan African eh..not much of a surprise either
0% Indigenous American
18% East Asian..what????:)

We tested your DNA and compared it to modern population groups. Then, we compared your DNA to specific countries within each of the defined regions.
71% European -top Country France
11% Sub saharan Africa top country Nigeria..ok That was a surprise
18% East Asian top country Australia..what????? that didn't even make any sense? Aboriginal??maybe polynesian? Mongolian??Chinese? what does that mean??? Australia is East Asia??? anybody? staff? Dan?:)
 
Hahaha! East Timor was #2 country for East Asian DNA profile..so I'm thinking it's aboriginal or polynesian:) wow!! 18% too! that's a pretty high number for DNA profile!

as we all have almost 99% DNA similar with Chimps....
kind of make those percentages... moot.
 
not really...It's part of the human genome project..Some I know had 100 percent european..some had indigenous etc.. IA few that I know had no eastern asian at all. Anywho..It's enlightening especially for me because there have been rumors innuendos etc..about my grandmother's origins..(long kind of cool should be a movie story)but I digress:) her Grandmother came from Spain and had her mother here but was she was not married and no father on her birth certificate. My great grandmother was raised by a governess of sorts while her mother kind of flitted in and out traveling the world had expensive jewlery etc...yes we are pretty certain that she was...um...someone men liked:rolleyes: anywho my great grandmother grew up got married and had my grandmother..who had darker skin and looked almost hispanic african mixed? kind of caused my anglo protestant ggrandfather to question...things...:) anywho she gave my husband a baby picture of herself because she looked so african american in the picture) when I was pregnant with my first so he knew my genes pool so we didn't end up on Jerry Springer..

anywho..now we know huh? .. because she looks exactly like the east asian people of east Timor..I'll post a pic when i get around to it...
Oh! and my gg.grandmother was on a cruise with the man she later married..and they both dissappered never to be heard from again..after a brief investigation they were presumed dead and murdered by the Cuban Mafia! WTwhat?:eek:
