If your back yard had frozen waterfalls, geysirs, volcanos, gletschers, gletscher lakes with floating ice cubes and seals in... I want to live in your house :D

I just got my monthly Propane delivery.

WTF_Propane.jpg

Between the extended cold winter and the price jump, that one delivery is close to what I normally spend for half a year, not four weeks.

1,300 square foot ranch. Stove top and heat are propane. Hot water, dryer, & oven are electric. The nationwide propane shortage cause prices to spike. They are almost 2-3 times normal. Add that to still having constant temps in the teens so usage is up, yeah, I think my winter heating bill this year is about 3 times what I normally pay.

FTFY.

I'm embarrassed to tell you what our natural gas bill was for last month ... 2,800 sq. ft. two story plus hot water and cooking.

$148.00 :o

A natural gas pipeline runs through about 500' from my house, but no local hookups. All home delivered propane.

I got you beat!! I think ours was around 200 plus plus... :(...we have a gas fireplace that I like to run :p..but I don't think that's why it's so high:confused: we have base board heat:confused:

what kind of energy does it take to heat a pool? I can't even imagine that bill this summer:eek:

Dunno where you are but a solar cover will warm a pool quite well. We've got natural gas but are on a budget plan. Should be interesting when that sucker come up for adjustment.
