Good morning. I came across this site because I was researching the process of rooting my HTC EVO 3D. I was browsing through my app market and decided to try installing a NES emulator and Roms with hopes of playing Nintendo games on my phone. So I downloaded a recomended app called Android Overlock but when I tried using the app I got a message telling me I needed to Root my phone. Here I am, researching how, why, why not, and other questions. This seems like a great site. I look forward to unlocking my phones full potential.

I've found the forums to be very helpful with a lot of people that are knowledgeable and friendly willing to help. Hope you find the help and instruction you need to root your 3VO

If you want some help rooting that phone, you should check in with EVO 3D - All Things Root - Android Forums. They'll be able to not only get you rooted but advise you on the pitfalls. Usually it's pretty obvious stuff, but there may be a thing or two you haven't thought of that can be a real pain.
