Chess on Android??

I'm a chess enthusiast, and never considered playing online chess on my phone because there are just too many distractions to play a serious game. Last week however, I tried playing some chess on a seven inch tablet at home and I actually really liked it a lot so now I'm looking for some good Android apps to play real time online chess against real people. I've played on Chess.com and ChessCube on my pc, so I was looking for other places to play real time chess exclusive to Android. I'd love to here where the rest of you are playing online, and I've also downloaded some apps for doing tactics, but I'd love to hear some favorites if anyone has any suggestions also.

I too love chess. Would love to play you if you find a good app. Might I suggest "chess with friends"? It's by Zynga, known for quality apps.

Yes, thank you indeed Mike, I installed it too, but I don't get anything that even resembles that awesome spash screen on the Play Store when it opens, lol. Must be doing something wrong, not sure, lol, but it really looks cool for sure. I need to figure it out too, but I'll try and hit you up when I get the hang of it. I'm so many people I can't remember who I am there, lol, so I'll just look for you first!

P.S. Anyone else get that good slash screen when they open the actual app????

I'm living in Spain right now, although always repping Cali, so your depending on where you are, your early evening is probably my five in the morning, lol. Just tell me what time zone you are in and we'll take it from there!

Missouri is Central Standard Time. It's about 4:30 pm right now. I think Spain is 8 hours ahead of Missouri. I'm always up so I'm game whenever. :cool:

Yeah I played 2 practice games with the computer and lost both of them. I'm pretty rusty myself.
 
I know I'm nine hours ahead of Cali, so that's a starting point, we'll take it from there guys, lol. Maybe they just use the splash screen for advertisement, too bad though, makes it look a lot funner, lol. I'm usually on around 2:30 p.m. Cali time during the week and probably till a lot later on the weekends, lol. See you guys there, maybe if we win enough games we get to use the splash screen. Just look at how much fun Leeanne D. and Whitney M. seem to be having on that place!!! You sure you posted the RIGHT link Mike???:p:p

That's the same exact one that I get too, so at least we are at the same place, lol. Maybe that cool looking screen is if you use the "play with friends" option and it's kind of like a "What's App List?"
 
chesspresso is the best online chess app for android, bar none, its free with ads or you can buy it for pretty cheap and play unlimited games at a time, i think its only like 1-2 games at a time allowed for the free version
