That sounds like a software bug, which has left it in an un-bootable and bricked state. In the absence of any kind of hardware reset to factory defaults, you'll probably have to RMA it for a refund or replacement under warranty. Crappy and buggy software can often be an issue with devices like these, due to the lack of testing and QA by the manufacturer.
