Hi guys, I am in China right now and have no access to 3G/WiFi, so I am relying on my computer with a hardline to get most of my stuff for my phone. I NEED a flashcard app to help me learn Chinese characters. Most programs I can find the apk online through the developers site, but I have to download a dictionary/other files through my phone's internet connection -- which I don't have. Anyone able to lend a guy some advice, I really need this tool!!
 
I use Hanping CE. It's an offline dictionary, and it also has some word lists. Check it out. Even if it doesn't do what you need to learn, it is great to have for offline usage.
 
Thanks amlothi. I actually use Hanping PRO and was hoping it had flashcard support or a way to build a custom word list and group them ... but I do not see this possibility. I am studying through the Integrated Chinese series and want to separate word lists by chapter. I will keep hunting! As always, please chime in if you can!!
 
Both are fine, I suppose. I have the PLECO Android Beta, but I can't quiz myself on the words yet.

I have FuXi droid, which has its own dictionary, but I have to create the cards manually, whenever I make my own list in .txt or .csv it doesn't import correctly.

Anything you suggest would be great! I DO have internet connection now, but I would prefer if I could avoid programs that use that connection to Sync the files, rather than let me manually transfer them - the internet is slow here.
 
That's what I'm doing with my Android App Wise Cards - Flashcards, to learn Chinese with the right Pinyin

You even can enter Pinyin in the Pinyin fields, it automatically converts shi1, shi2,.. to the right characters.

You should check out trainchinese for the android. It offers offline training, a free dictionary, and different word lists with vocabulary for all levels and situations. The free new beta upgrade is available on their facebook page
