chinese tablet

My future brother in law was given a cheap Chinese tablet for xmas.

Kernel . 2.6.35.7-infotm

I have successfully rooted it, but I'm struggling to find any apps that will allow it to be overclocked. From what I can gather,I may have to flash a new kernel.

1. If I do, how do I do this
2.will it be possible without a cable to the PC?

I just rooted using gingerbreak....

What i read on some other sites (found using google) stock kernel can be oc upto 1005mhz

Try SetCPU or No-Frills.
This apps shoul let u OC. If u used them i dont know what u can do

Is there a free version of set CPU? Admittedly I never tried it as I can't afford to waste money if it won't work.lol.... Will give no frills a look thanks

SetCPU is $2. Plus you get a 15 minute window to try it. Install it and see if it works, if not return it.

Ive never used setcpu only setxperia which is free so i thought that setcpu is free too.

U can try antutu cpu master (free or paid) but i didnt use it so i even dont know it looks.

Tried antutu thanks, can't remember all of the ones I tried but with no success, I don't know if I maybe need to try and flash a new kernel, if I do,I need to try and find one! :-(

I did manage to change the boot loader! Lol
