Help "Chirp" noise between two Galaxy Nexus

My partner and my daughter both have Galaxy Nexus phones, purchased simultaneously at a Verizon store. When they are connected in a voice conversation, both exhibit very annoying and very loud "chirp" noises. Is this a known issue with this product/carrier? Connections from either one of these instruments to my Droid X are clean and noise-free

This is a known issue, mine does it occasionally as well. This phone has a number of call issues none of which you will be able to resolve.

There is no known fix to these issues, just like the reception issue.
