Choosing Busybox

Hey, fellows, just wondering if there is a particular busybox people prefer on here? I've heard mainly good things about the top 3 or 4 versions on the Play Store. Just wondering if there is one that stood out to you all. I'm on an S3 S960L.
 
Thanks for your experience. I have read the free version is now missing some things that made everyone either get the pro version or another version altogether. Do you have any input on that?
 
The only reasons I went to the Pro version was to support the dev and get these additional features:

Pro version contains no ads or nag screens, uninstall feature, Advance Smart install feature, the ability to hand pick the applets you want, safety check for missing applets on start, and better overall support. The pro version will receive more frequent updates than the free version will

Now, busybox is hard for me to understand and basically, I messed with it alot more on my Evo vs. my S3. I could change versions if needed on my Evo for different root related things, but on my S3, the only thing I have done is update it when prompted to. :(

That's a lot of help. Thanks, again! That paid Pro version seems to have good things said about it everywhere. But, also, IF I can get a free one, at the moment, it would be nice lol. I'll see if anyone else chimes in for a bit.
 
If you desire, we can move this thread into the Android Lounge for more opinions as BusyBox relates to many different root devices?

And if you are looking for some help on what exactly Busybox does I have done some reading up on it and maybe I can try and help :)

The simplest explanation for Busybox is that it gives you, the user, some extra UNIX tools/commands in a single executable file.

To try and put it in terms easier to understand most developers require busybox because it gives them these basic tools that allow them to run commands that they need in order for everything to work correctly.

For good measure:

Lets say you want to build a tree fort. All tree fort instructions will require a hammer, a screwdriver, nails and a saw. Now some tree forts (think of different linux distributions) will say you need to find out where to get the pieces to build the hammer and saw. BusyBox is the entire toolbox of tools you will need to build the tree fort.

Thanks. That is the version mentioned earlier but it is the free version. I was seeing a lot of complaints that they removed a lot of stuff from the free version. I went ahead and downloaded the free version. I just need it for the apps that require busybox. Later on, if I need more, I may just purchase the pro version. The free version doesn't have smart install and maybe not able to symlink.
 
Honestly if you're heavily involved in development you're probably going to want/need the pro version, otherwise the free version should be pretty much perfect for you :)
