Choppy internet connection

Okay, so in the past I've had occasional issues, but the last few days it's been all the time. My Wi-Fi is really choppy and I know it doesn't have anything to do with my ISP, modem, router, etc because everything else that uses Wi-Fi runs smoothly. Also, 3G has been running really slowly as well. It's gotten to the point where I often just give up on trying to use it.

Another thing I noticed was that during one of the app updates, it said there wasn't enough space to complete said task. I'm kinda surprised that I'd be out of space. I've had my phone for about a year and download the occasional app.

In any case, I was wondering if anyone might know what might be causing it and have a solution to fix it. And please don't suggest rooting as that voids the warrenty.

You should at least check your internal memory and the load that running services puts on your device.

settings -> storage -> available space = ?

settings -> applications -> running services (look at the bottom
of the screen)

Some apps can be stored on your sd card; that will help free
up the phones internal memory to some degree.

On computers, once your memory usage approaches 90%,
you will see system performance degrade....similar to
what you're seeing.
I'm speaking mainly about the memory problem, not the connectivity problem.
