Root choppy scrolling

That's fine for you but I'm a dev and I *must* know how it works. :p
 
I have been using seeder for as long as I found it about it on life hacker and I'm going to say that it definitely works and just saying that there is a free version on xda. Same thing but free. They also have a fishable zip that will do the same thing.
 
Seeder is fine for a phone, since you get push notifications and other things to keep the cpu 'primed' (so to speak), but I found no better performance, only slight decrease in battery life.

The fact that your reboots stopped makes me suspect that it's keeping the second cpu online. Can you check? Look at /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/online

Cpu0/online just has a 1, cpu1/online has a 0. Is that what you need?

Personally have never had choppy scrolling since I found the Developer setting .5x, and that was the day the ICS OTA came out.

but .5 is too fast and you can hardly even see the animations. For me there is no point in using animations if I'm going to make them so fast I can hardly even notice them. It should run smoothly on any animation speed setting, otherwise it's a fail.

Sounds like a personal problem to me. LOL
Funny I see it as a success, not a fail! I look for ways to stop the animations, don't like them, makes the phone seem slow and iOSish.
Setting 1x and .5x works well too. Gives animations and smooth scrolling best of both worlds.
