Choppy touch screen

Hey,
I'm Recently I bought a galaxy grand duos in India.Off late I'm feeling a certain choppy touch screen during regular usage. This becomes a pain particularly while long pressing any icon(which actually registers 2 or more touches as touch response is choppy). Do anybody have this problem can help me with this issue. I have installed a screen guard if that helps. Thanks

Otherwise have you tried potentially turning off your device, removing your battery, and restarting it?

Lastly, your only option left might be a factory reset just to see if things don't slow down like you are saying they are.
