Chrome and popups

[phillyundead]

Pop ups are getting worse and worse. I can't go on many websites without at least one, but often multiple, pop ups spamming me and taking me to google play for an app that I don't want. Is there any way to block the pop ups on Chrome?

I am rooted on a Galaxy Note 3 running 4.3.

I hope in not doomed to using another browser because I use the sync chrome has with my PC.

I hear you. If I see something floating over the page, I just back out or close the tab (I don't interact by clicking on the floater or trying to move it). I haven't ever had one redirect me any where. Didn't help much, but I won't reward them for using that tactic.
