Help Chrome cannot access clipboard

Dub

Lurker
Hello,

Unlike other applications, such as messaging, and the default Web browser, in Chrome, there is no clipboard access. If you long press an entry field, only "paste" displays - not the second "clipboard" option. Also, if you long press the microphone/settings button, the clipboard option is not displayed there. Both methods are available in other applications, but neither is there in Chrome. The screenshot included displays both stemmed methods with the missing option.

Hi Dub,

In my version of Chrome, I also see this "paste" button if I long press into an input field where there is currently no text. If, however, there is text I see three icons at the upper right which select all, cut and copy respectively. If I am in the web page itself I get four icons for select all, copy, share and search. Seems the actions are context sensitive which is actually a very good thing. Try long pressing in different places and see what happens.

BTW: I am running version 43.0.2357.93 of Chrome under KitKat 4.4.0

Regards,
Eric.
