Who got one what you think so far?

Where are you?

How long did it take after you singed up?

Me SE of Dallas
2 days after i singed up...

So far so good.. Cant seem to tether from my Droid to this new ChromeBook.. But im sure i will get it going before today is up...

I got one and I love it! It's a really neat concept and has a place in the world of netbooks for sure.

I'm just south of Baltimore, MD and I don't even remember the day that I signed up for it. I was just surprised that it showed up to my house magically after I had forgotten all about it.

I haven't tried to tether from my Evo yet, but don't forget, we get 100mb free per month from Verizon over their 3G. Pretty badass!

Collinsville, IL

Signed up last Thurs or Friday...received yesterday.

So far i like it a lot...found a few issues though and have reported them.

The only thing I had to report was hardware, which really doesn't matter cause they're not going to be making the hardware.

Ok i have read that you cant use the wifi tether with these laptops something about adhoc connections and so on... But i did find that you could use the wired teather app for root users and it works like a charm...

I think im up to 5-6 bug reports most if not all of mine are feature request.

got mine today. signed up maybe a week or so ago. so far, i wouldn't use the word "love", but it is very cool. i like the idea, but i don't think the full functionality isn't there yet. it's still early, so i'm very optimistic - and thrilled to be a part of the process.
i'm excited to watch this concept get rolling. right now it doesn't seem like a full computer replacement, but i can definitely see the functionality expand to fill the gaps. for it to be a viable top tier system they're going to have to figure out the specialty program situation, like music and photo/video production (ProTools/Cubase, Photoshop, just as examples). as a simple day-to-day OS though, it's definitely capable.

I got mine yesterday, signed up a few days ago. I was astonished because I had no idea it was coming. It's a little hard getting used to the keyboard and trackpad, coming from my Dell mini9. I'm a big netbook fan so this is a great idea IMO.

Make sure and turn on the sync feature in all your chrome browsers to keep everything up to date. Also i dont know if i said it or not but LogMeIn the free version works to view all your other windows pc's.

Not going to lie i love this thing because its free.. And i like messing with stuff.

I signed up last Saturday and still nothing. Starting to lose hope, but it looks like they've switched all shipping to ground so it's taking longer. There was one delivered to my zip yesterday, but not mine. Ah well.

I got one too, but I'm eating through the 100MB of verizon pretty quickly. What wired tether app did you get to work?

I signed up the day of the announcement and got mine about 4 days later. So far I'm loving it. It can't replace my desktop, but for 95% of what I do it works great.

after 2 more days of use, i'll add the following:

i find the internet to be a little slower compared my macbook. could be perception though. other than that, the internet experience is quite satisfying. so far it's working out great. i love the size and general use-ability. i would love to be able to rely on a machine like this for 99% of uses, but it's just not capable right now. the web apps need to be seriously worked on before that is a viable option. and as much as it pains me to say, i think local storage is a necessity. offline capabilities i'm sure will be coming soon, so that's cool.
i'm pretty pleased so far and so thrilled to be part of the process. i'm pretty anxious to see the new developments as they are released.
i'd also like to add that the hardware leaves a bit to be desired. the keyboard feels a little "cheap" for lack of a better word. the touchpad seems to react strangely sometimes (just now while typing it jumped my cursor to another spot in my typing). seems like the "click" (when you have it set to "tap-to-click") is very sensitive. but i'm betting a lot of these types of issues will be non existent with non-beta hardware.

I found the same thing with the trackpad. It doesn't ignore the trackpad like my mini9 does while typing. With such a big pad, that is a problem. In addition right clicks are frustrating, left clicks happen accidentally and middle clicks are impossible without two hands.

I'm not sure if this could be fixed through software or not.

I love the keyboard! I do have the same problem with the cursor moving while I'm typing though.
