Help Chrome update

For a couple weeks now every time I start chrome a little box pops up from the bottom that says "Chrome just got better! A new version is available." I tap UPDATE and the box goes away but I don't think anything updates because the next time I open Chrome it says the same thing. What's up with this?

It's not a Chrome update, it sounds like adware.

Settings -> Apps -> "Browser" -> Clear Cache and Data (do this for all installed browsers and it should stop the popup appearing).

You might also want to run Malware Bytes to see if you've picked up anything else nefarious.

If the popup still appears, look at something like Addons Detector to help pinpoint the app that's causing the problem.
