Help Chromecast

I have an Android smart phone, a smart Samsung TV and a Bluetooth enabled hi-fi system.
I am thinking of buying a Chromecast dongle, but will I be able
  • to stream an iplayer broadcast from my phone to the TV
  • to mute the volume on the TV and
  • to play the audio from the iplayer broadcast through my hi-fi via the Bluetooth connection with my phone

Whatever is displayed on your phone will display on the TV, including sound, by your home WiFi signal.

If you do get a Chromecast you'll need to install the 'Google Home' app on your phone to pair the Chromecast to your home WiFi network.

You can then use the Google Home app to cast your phone to your Chromecast but note that is also a state where your phone is working harder than it needs to, taxing your battery as it normally does whenever you're watching something on your phone (and in this example also broadcasting to your Chromecast). Instead, installing and using the iPlayer app is a better option to watch iPlayer content. This way, your phone is only acting as a 'remote control' and the actual processing of the video stream is done by your Chromecast's integral CPU and the display by your Samsung TV.

Thanks Svim
But the point is I want the audio on my hi-fi to sync with the picture. I think that with your method I would have to listen to the audio through theTV speakers.
