Clarification Question

[ChiTown23]

Hi y'all! Im planning to buy a brand new UNLOCKED Galaxy S3 from Bestbuy
Samsung - Galaxy S III 4G Mobile Phone (Unlocked) - White - Samsung Galaxy S III I9300 White

And I'd like to know one thing. Would the phone still remain unlocked if I updated from ICS to JB when the update from samsung officially comes out? I heard the factory unlocked S3 are the international models and that JB update isnt out yet for them, but when it comes out I'd like to be able to update the phone and yet still remain unlocked. Im sorry Im new to android phones, thanks.

Yes, it will remain unlocked.

Edit: It should remain unlocked. I don't see why it wouldn't.

Thank you. And just to be clear, once I upgrade it should still be unlocked without rooting it or anything right?

If it is unlocked you buy it, it will be so when you update it to JB.
