Class Action Suit for 2.0

So TmoNews just had 3 tweets and this is what they think of us:

Tweet 1: So let me get this right, some people want to sue Samsung for not issuing future Android updates?

Tweet 2: To the Behold 2 I should mention?!

Tweet 3: If you buy a phone based on "future" capabilities, than you need to rethink your buying decisions, buy what it is, not what it might be.

So it looks like they are not on our side.

However I see that your Blog is one sided, So thanks for your Time

I'm sorry, but I don't agree with the point of the lawsuit. On principle you buy a phone for what it can do, not what it might do in the future. On top of that, my blog isn't a soapbox for what some feel is a wrongful scenario. Its not really "news" that Samsung wouldn't support a phone that barely sold. They aren't under any legal constraints to update the phone, they would do so because people would show interest. Why would any company invest serious time and resources into a phone that has barely sold?

*edit
spoke too soon tmonews ran the story. Don't boycott tmonews they just needed to gather the facts and they put out a great article.

i stand corrected tmonews has their stuff together. Thank you David @tmonews for helping us behold2 users get some needed exposure

he is taking a poll @TmoNews twitter page to see if they should run the story. tweet to him and say YES...maybe i was wrong, maybe they are journalists after all.

Tmonews is basically calling anyone who bought a phone based on a promise an idiot. No, anyone that would buy a phone without hearing any word of an update when the phone's firmware is in it's twilight days is an idiot we were just gullible.

I bought my new laptop last year when it was on sale. At the time it was running windows vista but I was promised an upgrade to windows 7 when it was released. I now have windows 7. Had I not gotten the update a lot of people would have been p***ed of at Microsoft and looking to sue.

The primary problem is the fact that there is no way to hold them accountable for their actions and honestly even if there was a class action law suit it would result in a very small settlement for the average person, except for the lawyer that is.

Dont get me wrong I am all for it, but I honestly believe that it would never happen, finding a attorney to take the case would be next to impossible

I'm still not excited about spending $500 on this phone in February only to have support drop 3 months later. I mainly bought the phone for Android, the extra RAM, the decent processor and the camera. We are expecting our first child in a couple of days and wanted to have something that I could take great pictures with as well as have a powerful device that I can keep connected with. Eugene has helped that incredibly, but I would like to see what else could be done with this phone.

I won't be able to upgrade with EM+, so looks like I'm SOL.

Guy's I want to Make this Super Clear... I don't / Never wanted to Sue... Just for Samsung to Honer what they Promoted & Support the Product they sold us!
I agree I just want Samsung to keep there promise and give us the update.
