Clean application removal?

So I installed, then uninstalled, Locale. Now if I try to create an AnyCut > Activity shortcut, I see Locale listed in the "Choose an Activity" menu.

My point is, there are traces of Locale left in the system, and for some reason that makes me feel uncomfortable. I am still adjusting to the new mobile OS, so I'm not sure how this will affect certain aspects of the system.

Does anyone know what I should look for, or better yet, where I can go to delete these traces of uninstalled applications?

Never mind... Even after a format, the same references to Locale still exist. They must be for *something else*.
