I have spice android phone model number mi-280. It has android gingerbread 2.3.6. now spice guys have installed a lot of bloatware. It really sucks that I can

As you're rooted, you could do a nandroid backup so you can return to stock if needs be). Then use Titanium backup pro to back up all apps, delete the bloatware and restore from the trimmed backup. Be careful that you only delete bloatware and not anything vital to the phone's operation. I think this should work (I've not tried this but can see no reason why it shouldn't work)

If others know better, please post either confirming this, or say why it's not a good idea.

That plan is fine as long as:

a) the device isn't NAND protected (S-On in HTC parlance), in which case you won't be able to remove the stuff while running android.

b) you don't remove anything vital by mistake. Because if the phone can't boot and run Titanium the backup won't help you.

If you have a custom recovery, use that to make a backup (a nandroid backup) before changing anything in system.

I did dalvik cache wiping using titanium backup, i gained 9 mb. Moreover I can't find the bloatwares that i want to remove in the titanium backup interface menu. There are other applications listed there but not my bloatwares.

The bloatwares are spice gang, naukri.com, hindustan times, justdial, ibibo, reuters, spicegang, tradus, vuclip, wapedia. I also used system app remover software but in that too these bloatwares are not listed.

I also read on one forum where they are advising to go to system/app folder to delete bloatware, where is this folder located? I went to file manager but couldn't find it.

It's not a folder on your sd card, it's /system/app, ie the app folder in the system partition of your phone's internal storage. So you need to start at the top of the file tree, not at /sdcard, which is the default. Not all file browsers can do this.

Be careful, because if you remove the wrong thing your phone will be unbootable. As I said before, take a nand backup before messing with the system.
