Clean Master

Does anyone use the Clean Master app from Cheetah mobile formerly ksmobile ?

If so can you explain what actually happens when the fix is clicked that relates to an SMS vulnerability as this shows up as soon as the app is opened.

Never use an app that "cleans" "unused" apps from memory. It defeats the purpose of Android's memory manager (and usually slows he phone down). This isn't Windows, it's Android, where unused memory is wasted memory. Most of your phone's memory should be almost completely filled most of the time (as opposed to Windows, where you want to keep as much free memory as possible).

Yes i'm aware of how android works, however it was the SMS Vulnerability Fix that the app has that was my question.

The app does more that clean unused apps and wouldn't be using it for that anyway.

I got the same message when I installed the latest version of Clean Master. It was a much simpler app a year ago. Anyway, to get rid of that message, you'll need to install KS Security. So, I did that. And then, I realized I didn't need antivirus/security apps on my phone, so I deleted both apps. :)

I'm back to App Cache Cleaner Pro. Much simpler and it just clears cache.

I guess the difference between the one available from Google Play Store and the pro version is no advertisments on the pro version.

The image below is the non pro version, curious why the pro version isn't available on Google Play Store.

I see it on the Google play store when I tap on your link and it shows as its not free, but I wonder why it doesn't show the pro version when I do a manual search on the Google play store myself?
