clean touchscreen samsung epic

Very new to smart phones (older lady here, over 50). My finger was damp when I dragged to unlock my new samsung epic. May I ask what I can use to get ride of this smudge? Wiping helps a little (with a non-scratch cloth, but can I use something else to get ride of the smudge? Sorry if this is too simiple for this forum

you have a screen protector on it? i use cotton or the cloth that came with my glasses

Microfiber's always a good option. A little water or eyeglass cleaning solution may help, if needed.
