Root Cleaning SD Card, Backing up Nandroid Backups.

Hi
Hopefully a couple of simple questions..

1. My SD card has numerous directories and I don't know what they belong to. Is there any simple way to find our, so I can delete anything unneeded ?

2. Can I simply copy my Nandroid backups to my PC, and then copy them back if they are needed later ?

Thanks :)

Not sure on your first question although for me a name and date on files is enough to decide.

Regarding Nandroids the answer is yes. Just as well as mine are approaching a gig each.

Careful with the Nandroids, when I did that then moved em back I don't believed they worked.
Though maybe that's because I partitioned my sd card? I dunno.

I move them a lot, never had a problem with it.

If you want to check, try this: copy a nandroid to your computer, copy it back, then use Android File Verifier from the market to check the md5 (from the app, navigate into the nandroid folder, long-press nandroid.md5, then select "verify nandroid backup"). If it checks out, then you're good to go.

Just having a look at my SD card and have decided to back up some of my nandroid back ups to my PC as they are taking up too much space and there's 2 in there that are dated 1980!! What are they?
