Clear defaults?

Ok well i downloaded go sms pro from the app market and i want to set it as the default messaging app. I know how to do this but for some reason when i go to "clear default" on the stock message app it wont let me click it im not sure y :S

Have you used Go SMS Pro at all? At first launch you should get a choice. You may need to clear the defaults on Go SMS Pro

Iv looked at every app i have and some reason i cant "clear defaults" on ANY of them... always worked on my old phone. Got this phone a few days ago so kind of confussed as to why i cant clear defaults on any app...
