clearing deleted pics from space on sdcard

one you delete a picture is off your phone or does it still need to be deleted from trash.
cannot find any photo trash on my samsung note 2.
 
Android doesn't have a trash folder (by default). Once you delete something, it's gone and the space is available. If you want to get it back, you need file recovery apps.
