Clearing drafts in Twitter (ISSUE SOLVED)

How on earth does one clear drafts in Twitter? I've been trying for the last half hour to get rid of them and I haven't had any success at all, and the phone is about five minutes away from being thrown forcefully against a wall. Can it be done? Or do I have to uninstall/reinstall Twitter, or do some kind of reset of the phone? Running Android 2.3.4. on a Sony Xperia Neo V.

Update: my phone is still on this mortal coil!

So anyway last night I went down to my local boozer and over a couple or four of pints, a mate showed me how to clear Twitter drafts - damn, it's so easy! Why didn't I think of it?

Therefore if a moderator could be so kind as to close this thread I'll be most obliged!
