Root clearing radio to sell my incredible

I bought a Tbolt and though I love my incredible I have decided to sell it.. I am having an issue where my phone number is still showing up in phone information in the settings... I know when you factory reset a stock phone it also clears the radio so you have to reprogram... I have tried whiping everything that I can find in recovery even tried hboot factory reset but since its not stock recovery it gave me an error...

will the person I sell the phone to be able to activate the phone without a problem when they recieve it even if I can't find a way to clear the radio?

How much will you sell the phone for? To try to answer...I believe that once the new user of the phone gives Verizon the phone's IMEI and other necessary info, then activate it, your number would be replaced by the new user's number.

Did you flash the stock radio in HBOOT?

It's okay your number still shows up, it will be replaced when whoever buys it activates it.

If you don't want the buyer to even have a chance of seeing your number (anonymous/eBay/whatever), bring it to a VZW store, and they can change the # to 000-000-0000. As others have said, once they activate it, their # will pop in. I have done this before for eBay sales, my local VZW store has no problem with doing this.

Unless your specifically selling as a rooted phone, I would unroot it if you haven't. Then the factory hboot reset should work.
