Help CLOCK keeps updating to a version I don't want

[Android Question]

What is the point of changing something like the clock face without asking a user before making the update? I mean really, I like a black and white clock face; pink or purple just doesn't do it for me.

Also - can I turn off updates on the clock app so it won't keep changing on me?

Try a different clock widget like Digi Clock https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sk.michalec.SimpleDigiClockWidget
Unless you're on lollipop, it seems to freeze up with Android 5.x.x
