Help Clock on desktop and keyboard problem

eXtr3m3

Lurker
I have a problem with my digital clock on desktop. I don`t know why but sometimes it is not showing the same time as the clock in upper right corner. If i remove it from the desktop and add it again, it all ok for some hours. After that if i want to look at it to see the time, it shows few hours less than the clock in upper right corner. And this is happening all the time and i don`t know hot to fix it.

My secong question is: can you make your keyboard close? For example: if i am in some application on the search tab, i want to see the search results but the keyboard is blocking my view and i want to close it down. HTC wildfire has this feature.

Thx for your help!

Hi,
I don't know what to do about the clock.

You can solve the issue with the keyboard buy ticking the "enter" softkey at the bottom right of the keyboard, then it will disappear.

Welcome to the forums, eXtr3m3.

I'm thinking that your digital clock may need configuration in its menus to get it to sync with the on board clock syncing service (which is slave to the carrier data signal in most cases).

Try going into those menus just to be sure you've allowed for sync.

I figured out how to hide the keyboard (by clicking back button), but it doesn`t work in google search shortcut.

I don`t know what you mean by configuration in its menus to get it to sync with the on board clock syncing service. Where is this? If you mean i have to go to settings>date and time, i have first option checked there.

I know why the clock stops! It will happen if you clear RAM from task manager! The only was is to remove it and put it back again.....Clearing RAM stops the clock widget process...happened loads of times for me!

I thought it has something with clearing RAM. Is there any way to clear the RAM but the clock would still work? I don't want to remove it again and again from desktop.

Download Advanced task killer....when you open it, you can set clock to be ignored by long pressing it and adding it to ignore list! Then, close all the apps from the task killer instead of task manager! :D
