clockwork frustration

Hi All -

I am totally new to all this. On a recommendation, I bought a used droid on swappa. It came rooted, with cyanogenmod 7. But no market, no apps, and guy at Verizon said I could not get apps! I have been trying to install marketplace but useless. I have gotten so frustrated I have even tried doing a factory reset - both hardware and software, but that doesn't work. Just keeps rebooting into clockworkmod. Doesn't even wipe my phone number! Can anybody help me?

Thanks in advance:(

Welcome to Android Forums, winecheese.

If you can give us the model of the phone you bought, we could point you to the right forum where you can get your problems sorted out. I doubt the salesperson at Verizon would have any idea about CM7 and even if they did, they wouldn't support it.

Just so you know access to the market isn't universal with Android. Google releases the source code for Android, but it licenses access to the market, so many rom developers, to keep in the spirit of Google's license do not include the market with their roms, although most of their websites do include instructions on how to get it.

In any case, as soon as we know which phone you've got we'll get you going.
