Root Clockwork Mod Recovery ?

So does this Evo have CWM ? Thinking about getting this phone what's your guys option ? Had the evo design 4g from boost, but boost customer service sucks badly. Is this a good phone or should I pursue a different phone

4ext is what most people are using or twrp, and is a good phone that get's even better with all the mod's out there already.

Yeah, just to digress upon what was already said, TWRP is this phone's equivalent to CWM. It has a nice interface and even supports the face buttons.

And 4-EXT is a great touch recovery, which even gives you the options of flashing kernels (which normally would have been unavailable to flash due to security). It's a paid app from Google Market but there are ways to try it for free.

Quick question while were on the subject, so by having s-off there is no need for EXT4??

In other words it flashes the kernel of the rom automatically?

Yes there is cwm with touch too

No you don't NEED 4EXT. I'm s-off but I still use 4EXT because I like it the best.

What makes 4ext the 'best?'
TWRP with s-off has done everything for me with no issues.

Preference. There was also flashing issues with other kernels (not on thia site) and stuff like that with TWRP. I just like 4EXT better. Not to mention I paid for it lol
