Help ClockworkMod a sign of rooting?

Ok so I bought my Inspire off someone the other day and have not been able to get the GPS or wifi to work right at all since then. I went to do a reset on it by using the keystroke method and after the first menu it took me to ClockworkMod recovery. Is this a sign that this phone was rooted and could that be causing the problems with the GPS and wifi?

You're definitely rooted but the question is if it's running a custom ROM.

Ok I was assuming from what I had read it was rooted but wasn't 100% sure. I don't think it was running a custom ROM since HTC Sense and all was on it. That would be a sign it was in fact the stock ROM correct?

That looks like the stock recovery. Its definitely not clockworkmod.

"S-off" can only be done through rooting though. After selecting "recovery" or "factory reset" it most certainly goes to CWM. I got everything working by flashing LeeDroid onto it. Glad I didn't have to root it since I have a Mac and that would have all been a whole other thing to figure out.
