clockworkmod backup size

Do you know how much space your apps moved to sd take up? Quick System Info doesn't tell you that, but that will also be part of the nandroid backup.

One way of checking: open a terminal emulator and type the following:

du -hs /mnt/asec

In English that command means "disk usage, in human readable format, including subdirectories, for the directory /mnt/asec". /mnt/asec is the mount point for the secure folder that android moves apps to when you move them to sd, so the size it returns tells you how much space those apps are using in addition to your internal space usage.

When I just did that it reported 312.8MB, which is about what I expected from my backups.

du not found...
never mind, i guess the size is big
i will try to buy new SD
thank you for your help

I guess you haven't got busybox installed (or not in a way the terminal emulator will use).

If you only have a 2GB card then a bigger card is a worthwhile investment.

If you were thinking of eBay, do make sure it's a reputable seller. I remember a year or so ago a lot of people were being stung with "fake" cards (a small card hacked to report itself as being much larger than it really is). I generally play safe and buy stuff like that from somewhere like amazon.
