Root ClockworkMod Recovery won't connect to server

Currently running 2.1 on AT&T, just rooted my phone without any problems. I am currently using Rom Manager 3.0.1.2 to hopefully install Froyo. However When I try to install ClockworkMod Recovery I get the message "An error occurred while downloading your recovery."

I have rebooted many times and also fixed permissions. I searched around and most people just say to try again later. Has anyone ever successfully installed ClockworkMod Recovery after getting this error by simply waiting? Is there a way I can just manually install this?

I will keep updating this so it hopefully helps someone out later. I waited over night to try and download ClockworkMod and it finally just worked.

My problem now is with backing the "Backup Current Rom" feature on Rom Manager. I click it at it doesn't backup. Instead it just sits at the "installing Multi-csc" step and never does anything else. I will continue to look for a fix.
