Help Close keyboard how?

Is there some way to make the keyboard go away when it's not wanted? Sometimes the back button works, sometimes not. Ditto for the menu button. Swiping down doesn't seem to do it.

The back button is the only way on the stock keyboard. It should work. If it doesn't work the first time just hit it again.

I recommend buying swiftkey 3. Swipe down to close, swipe left to delete last word. And the suggestions are amazing.

The problem is sometimes the back key backs out of the current page on the browser instead of just backing out of showing the keyboard. I'll look into Swiftkey 3.

Does swift key completely replace the stock keyboard or does the stock one still appear?

The stock one will still be installed but you won't be using it
