Help Closing during texting/typing. Help?

During texts or typing anywhere, nine out of ten times halfway through something Im typing the phone would return to home screen as if I pressed menu. My finger would be nowhere near the menu key, I would be maybe the letter w or o and it would return it to the home screen. I at first thought it was an app causing it but I restored the phone and it still happened. I know its one of those things that when I take it in with my luck the issue wont repeat. I notice it happens more if the text speed is fast. Its really annoying. I want to fix it or perhaps get a replacement before I sell it. Thanks in advance.

Try another keyboard App.

I like Smart Keyboard and though I'm not a speedy texter, I don't have such issues. Plus, you can put the Jellybean text screen there and pretend.

You have a warranty, could be software issues.

Thanks for those ideas, but since I plan on selling it I was hoping to fix the problem instead of getting a keyboard app. I will try and download a keyboard app and see if that works. Does anyone remember the cost of a replacement? I hate the fact that its a new phone giving me grief, but most of my new Metro phones besides the Motion and Galaxy had issues.

Have you checked your settings? This is the sister phone to the motion, and on par with GS3. Nobody is having these issues but you, so maybe you got a lemon. Replacement is free along as you can show them the issue happening. $8 shipping or $30 same day replacement (at corporate stores)
