Hi,

I was watching a movie over DLNA connected to my computer. Out of no where, the screen froze then went black. Not being able to do anything I pull the battery.

Different behaviors Upon Booting:

When booting via Power Button, it will display the "Galaxy S GT-I900M Samsung" for about 6 seconds then turn off.

When plugged into wall outlet it will continuously cycle through "Galaxy S GT-I900M Samsung".

When plug via USB, it cycles; showing the battery charging logo and dies.

Vol Down + Home + Power = Downloading - Do not turn off target!!

Vol Up + Home + Power = Behaves as normal Power button press and shows "Galaxy S GT-I900M Samsung" for about 6 seconds and turns off.

--End--

Phone is bone stock for the exceptions of android apps installed.

Anybody help me?

*Update*

Flashed for XXJPU, re-partition, multifile, 512.pit - Now have acces to Recovery Mode 3e.

I get a can't mount SDCard error.

End of the line I guess? Bring back to Bell store for fixing I guess? It's that internal SD card failure thing poeple are talking about right?

Should I go back to original UGJG9 or to UGJH2?

Thanks for those willing to help me...

*Update*
*IT FIXED My EXPLODED INTERNAL SD CARD!!!!*

I flashed up to 5 different firmwares tonight, from multi-part to one file PDAs selecting various options in Odin3 v1.3.

My phone displayed every error of a an "exploded" Internal SD card from those darn Bell GT-I9000M Samsung phones.

I have seen all the errors possible in e2 and e3 recovery mode.

E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
(Invalid argument)
E:copy_data_default_apk:Can't mount DBDATA:

And the one saying SDCARD in e2 and the saying this, and that...and so forth, you name it!

After many hours on playing around, I HAVE FIXED IT!!! I don't know if this is a "breakthrough" or luck but from every post I have read tonight revolving around these errors have not posted a single working solution.

Here is what I did

*IT FIXED MY EXPLODED INTERNAL SD CARD!!!!*

1. Booted phone in to download mode in JK3
2. Get the I19000xxJPM firmware from Samfirmware Here.
3. Get the 803.pit from Samfirmware Here.
4. Load Odin3 v1.3 with the .pit file and PDA with the JPM.tar file AND check Re-Partition.
5. Connect phone and Start Odin.
6. After this is done, disconnect USB cable. Your phone will know boot past the Boot screen, past the flashy S logo and remain in a black screen state.
7. Download Yaok 1.50 Here
8. Restart Odin, load PDA with Yaok 1.5 .tar and the 803.pit file AND make sure Re-Partition is NOT checked.
9. Connect USB and start Odin.
10. Once done, CWM will start right away.
11. Now heres the fuzzy part; I ended up selecting every option that had something to do with mounting, formating, erasing. Anything to do and sounding to do with the SD card I pressed. It all gave me the same no SD mounted error and halted the process but if it changed anything is anyones guess. Although on one of them, I remember making partition sizes. One I selected 1024mb and the other 64mb I think.
12. Selected reboot from CWM and it WAS FIXED!!! IT DID A COMPLETE BOOT!

It told me to remove battery and insert SIM card. I did. Still says I have none. Will now flash to JK3 again to correct this. *EDIT* SD Card was mounted backwards and upside down, LOL*

BUT I HAVE MY BLOODY PHONE BACK!!!! w00t

I have the menu, apps, market, gps, browser, wifi... the whole thing! its back to a damn phone!

So happy! :)

I was playing around and went to the Storage Option in menu. It displayed no data for Used or Free. I did not have the option to mount or unmount either. I ended up selecting format internal SD card. When finished, it said I had 13gb used and 5gb free after. W0rd?

TWLauncher constantly force closing, super laggy, random vibration spurs. Just completly unusable but still all "there".

Anyways, I flashed to back to JK3 and it's now back to "Cant mount..." e3 recovery screen and will hang after flashy S logo on boot.

I had a phone.. for about 10 minutes.. Rofl.

GREAT NEWS, Flashed phone with UGJH2 and 512.pit, re-partitioned. Instead of giving me the usual SD card BS at first, tons of yellow text appeared and booted right into Android OS!! and phone is 100% functional! Full SD storage, no for close errors, network speed top notch. It's all back! back to 2.1 that is.. BUT ITS BACK! w00t

EXPLODED INTERNAL MEMORY FIXED

DONe goodbye, im off to bed! No more tinkering to tonight!

Okay I might have spoken too soon. I was able to get to the part where it boots into the OS (the part with the force closes and everything). This firmware kinda works but no matter what other firmware I try, the problem about the sd card happens again, including flashing jh2. I didn't format SD card in OS tho. Looks like I am gonna use this glitchy firmware until I figure this out.

By disabling haptic feedback it looks like I got rid of the annoying force closes and random vibrations. All that is missing is access to \sdcard. CWM can see it from recovery but not the os. Maybe I will try formating the sd card from the os but since I have a lot to backup before I do that I will leave it like that for now. At least the rest works.

Flash phone with UGJH2 and 512.pit, re-partitioned. It worked perfect after for me.

Such a relief to get back into the OS again isn't it?

Spread the word please.

WORKS HERE!!! (actually, it just booted in android and said daily briefing force closed but i am in android!)

THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!!
This method definately have to be put as a sticky (or at least bumped again and again) so people can try and see if it can fix all of the corrupted (at least for now, just happy i won't have to send my phone back for the holidays!) :D

again, thank you :D will try to flash jh2 soon :D:D:D:D

Unfortunately, i can't flash jh2 (turn back to bootstuck) i can run jpm but it doesn't recognise my internal sd (say it is corrupted :S) can't install anythin, will try with a external sd tomorrow...

Well at least its progress! Try to format SD from JPM. You will get no feedback from pressing the button but later on, a message will appear in the top taskbar saying it has been formated.

It's better to get it to work now while phone stock is low due to holidays then brick it after to get properly working hardware after the rush is over. This way you minimize wait time.

Will continue to try :D Flashed jk3 and it works (well like jpm) couldn't make jh2 to work (i think it must be because the yaok kernel is for jpm/2.2 and jh2 is 2.1)
