Root CM 6.1 Battery Question

I've been running CM for a while, even back on my Hero. With both devices I've noticed that the battery life is god-awful. On my evo, I'll have the screen completely dimmed and play solitaire....and I lose about 1% every 2 minutes. Is this normal? I've tried wiping battery stats. I'm considering installing the netarchy kernel, do you think this will help?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That is definatly not normal battery life. Check your partial wake lock in spare parts. And as far as the netarchy kernel goes, you need use a kernel compatible with AOSP. Try one of the new sbc kernels.
