Cm12s 5.1 in the works

Perform well? You using its stock kernel? I'm dying to try Franco Kernel.
It worked wonders on my Nexus 7

In my opinion it performs better than Oxygen & COS12, stock kernel yeah (read on the forums that it's tweaked for effectiveness already)

Dunno mate. There's defo one for 5.0.2 though...Haven't seen much of Francisco on g+
Must be busy in his tree house with the magic fairys ;)

I read they were testing this update in June. So two months ago. Still no OTA 12.1 update. Will we ever see it? I may go back to the Nexus phones for my next phone. They always updated the phones quickly.

Next phone for me is the X style or Nexus I think. Just need concrete specs on the Nexus. Love the OPO still, I just have to have new things.

Will we ever see it? - Yes.
Nexus will always be the first in line to get updates. CM never promised that they would be just as quick. If you are that anxious, feel free to root the phone and run the nightlies or one of the many, many mature roms that are in development.

@BynoUK The X Style looks nice. I will be anxious to see how well the battery holds up with that screen/resolution. Quick charge was a must and it's nice to see.

@confed Yeah the battery life is really the only thing stopping me from basically committing already! I'd have loved the batteries of the Play & Style being reversed but hey ho.

I'll stick with exodus, been on 5.1.1 for a while now.
Hope you can help me. A mate put cm12s on my s2 but I can't get a calendar to work. The calendar opens with a 'no calendar selected' message. The standard s2 system worked the calendar just fine. Any help is appreciated.

All good now. Couldn't be bothered mucking around. Bought an S6, it's running like a dream. I'm going to clamp the S2 in my mill and machine every last atom of it to the smallest swarf possible. Then I'll load that dust /swarf into a shotgun (number 6 load) and fire it at a 25mm case hardened plate. That's about where the S2 deserves to end up.
