Root CM7 (Gingerbread) nightlie Quadrant benchmark

Am now on CM7 (Gingerbread) nightlie #23 and have had no problems since #10. Very stable.

Am loving the host of extra features and settings that CyanoGenMod brings to the Nexus One (the latest is "Phone Goggles" to filter outgoing communications) and its speed and smoothness.

Working very well with Launcher Pro.

actually the pic is too small. how much is the score? 13xx?

it seems the quadrant score is lower than using CM6 right?

I used CM7 settings > Performance > CPU settings > Max CPU frequency > 1113 MHz

Baseband version 32.41.00.32U_5.08.00.04

Kernel version 2.6.37-cyanogenmod-01121-g5d1752 shade@toxygene#1

I believe that there are other kernels that are recommended for CM7.

CPU settings came with build #32, or thereabouts, of CM7.

I must say that I'm on build #42 now and am having no problems whatsoever.

The only thing I would recommend to anyone new switching to CyanoGenMod 6.1 or CM7 or, indeed, from 6.1 to CM7, is that a full wipe of both phone and SD card is needed and to reinstall (not restore) everything afresh from the ground up, as if it were a new phone. This only needs to be done once to avoid any conflicts and is well worth the trouble initially.

In fact, i also did a full wipe of the phone when I flashed from stock to CM7 but I am not sure if the SD card was wiped because right after I flashed to CM7, I went to recovery and did the SD card partitioning and am not sure if it is equivalent to a full wipe. I am new to flashing.

However, thanks for your tips.

When i got my first CM7 build ,i didn't format my SD ,and all turned out smooth & silky :)

The only things i tought of doing ,and were necessary ,were : format cache/partition ,wipe dalvik ,and restore... and i have no problems !

any of you got the same problem as mine?
when my phone reboots, it takes .... almost 10 min to finish the booting up.
usually it starts and stops at the Nexus screen. After 8 min or so it will vibrate a bit, goes blank and back to the Nexus logo right away and then load into CM logo.

anyone?
Possible cause?
Solution?

anyone?
Possible cause? = Failed flash -> reflash your phone ,try the latest CM7 build
Solution? = re-flash the darn thing :)

thank you very much for advice.
i'll give it a try when i have more time
it takes more than 6 hours usually for me to rebuild everything. ha..
I wouldn't bother rebuilding it again if you've done it once already.

Just select Download ROM in ROM Manager and redownload CM7 #43 (is the latest) and do not wipe dalvik or cache settings.

Should take about 5 min's to do that.

something similar to what schizophrenia has ,happened to me the first time i installed CM7 ,talking to the guys over at CM ,i was able to get the most out of my device using this method.

you always have a choice ,use my advice or don't ,it worked for me.
