Root CM7 sliding status bar brighness?

Turdbogls

is this working for anyone? if so, how does it work? does the notification bar have to be open or closed? i have it checked, unchecked, reboots etc. and cant get it to work. not a huge deal, but it would be nice to have this since the auto-brightness isn't that great for me.

I couldn't get it to work very well. You slide across the top bar(not pulled down). I could only manage it to go from dim to high brightness so it wasn't very useful for me. The power notification toggle is much better.

Try holding down on the left side of the status bar for a few seconds, then swipe to the right Its not as fluent as I would like it to be, but still cool for sunny days. Getting the brightness to go down is a bit harder for some reason but ive gotten it to work a few times.

I think it is easier to just set the brightness toggle button to cycle through a bunch of brightness levels.

It's quite easy and Icesteeve is right, you should press anywhere on the (closed) status bar and you'll see the brightness changing, depending on where you pressed. After that, you can slide left or right to adjust it to your liking.

It works great for me, although I don't have a thunderbolt. I wish I had. ;)

Found the trick to make it easy, slide very slowly... And it works flawlessly left or right, depending where you start like dasch said
