Root cm7 stuck in boot animation after plague kernal

so after i instaled cm7 found on this thread : http://androidforums.com/optimus-m-all-things-root/405821-rom-cyanogenmod-7-lg-optimus-m-ms690.html
i just flashed the plague kernal and i went to restart and its stuck at the cm7 boot animation and it is taking an obscenely long time to boot in i honestly think its broken and its taking longer than it did with the first boot into cm7 but i cant go into the custom recovery for some reason Vol+ , home and power doesent go into it i have to boot all the way into the os and click reboot iinto recovery . :/ i have no idea whats going on its been sitting here for a while now not doing anything but the boot animation and i just downgraded it from 2.2.2 back to 2.2.1 so i could flash this rom please help

did you wipe the cache and dalvik cache before you flashed the kernal?
 
ive flashed that kernal without wipe,and have had it work fine..I actually couldnt put that rom on my wifes phone for the same reason..I put bobz rom on, no kernal and the mms fix and it worked fine


Dont forget to wipe...lol :)

it should be volume - power and home, and if you try that and get in, do a wipe data/factory reset, should do the trick.
