Help cm9 bluetooth keyboard

I have a hp touchpad with CM9 installed. I am trying to connect a palm Bluetooth keyboard but it always fails. Any idea where I should start trying to troubleshoot.

I have tested pairing in webos and it works fine.

What happens when you try to pair it?

To pair mine,

I turn on BT
I turn on the keyboard, and make it discoverable
then I turn on discovery on my tablet

Last time I had trouble connecting, I had BT turned on on my laptop and it was already connected to that.

I figured the best keyboard would be the HP keyboard and picked up an open box one for cheap.

Do you have pairing instructions for the keyboard? (beats guessing)

I have a Zagg (which was meant for iPad 2) that pairs perfectly. I also had a problem once when it was already paired to my phone. At the end of the pairing process, you enter the code and that's it.
