Root CM9 Update for Thunderbolt

Just got CM9 Liquidsmooth ICS a few weeks back from XDA:

Quick question- I installed the build from 10/26 and now there is a (much needed) update from 11/7. Do I have to wipe data/dalvik and install from recovery, or is there a way to do an update?

I've streamlined the recovery process with Go backup/launcher, but I'd rather just update with the few little things they have added.

What is the process?

you can try a "dirty flash" by wiping only dalvik and cache, then flash the rom. if the roms are similar, this usually works. however if updates are major,it may cause issues and require a full wipe.

make a backup just in case. give it a try... but if you have prollems make sure you go back and full wipe before accuing the dev of haveing bugs or prollems :)
